180. To pin a label on someone

Japanese Edition of this blog page

Everyday, media introduce someone with their made label which seems to show us someone in short words,
to introduce who he is in short.
I think that article authors say news in such ways,
to make him who they want to report understandable easily by their audience and readers,
and to make their news impactive.

But, by pinned some label on someone reported in articles,
although this given label does not suit his real statue
(that label shows us only a part of his real statue.)
or does not have any relations with his real statue,
that given label makes any his status or any his positions in that society.
(That is, that given label also gives him any his status or any his positions in that society.)
And this giving label may be sometimes used for hidings in a society where that label is known.
If reported person is a criminal,
we lost him from our criminal cautions list
because of that label's wrong image.
And more, those social hidings are much needed by such criminals
to live like good men in that society.

So, I want media to pin appropriate labels on someone by their careful survays,
If we believe others' given labels on someone with no questions,
we could not see him as his real statue.
So we also must know someone by his actual actions.
(If we do not do that, we might act as his label giver, such as media writers, wants to.)

Because our ordinary rumors also may work as labels,
we must not forget our definite attitudes of knowing everyone by our own eyes.
