I heard a phrase, "A devil is in one's heart" here and there in literature.
(I actually heard a equivalent phrase in Japanese.)
I think I faced to this phrase more often in old literature than recent one,
if I compare cases of old and recent.
I do not know a true meaning of this phrase,
because I can read this phrase
both as a case that "his heart + a devil" are in his body
and a case of "his heart = a devil."
And I can not distinguish both case.
In old times, cognitive science did not development as now.
So this phrase may represent how old time people feel with evil people
and will be our key to understand their feelings, I think.
In a case that "his heart + a devil" are in his body,
once his bad thought which causes his evil actions
will be denied (cleaned up),
(I think that we can not clean up anyone's feelings.
Only when his status changes or his facing reality changes,
his feelings will change.)
Then he becomes (or be back to) a good person
(In my definition, a person who feel bad when he annoys others,)
I think.
For using a phrase of "tempted by an evil spirit,"
a condition of "his heart is not evil one" is needed in advance.
So this case fits into a case of a upper paragraph.
I think these people will not repeat evil actions,
when he studies about his past doings by his heart and mind.
"To clean up one's act", as we say, represents this case, I think.
But, in a case of "his heart = a devil,"
"devil mind itself" is in a human body,
that is, He has "an abnormal mind
(a normal mind = a mind which is not called devil one by others, I think)."

For me, to whom with a personal figure I feel that he looks like a devil?
My answer is a person who wants to disturb me in a positive manner and voluntary
and who wants to make me feel bad,
and who does such for real.
People who are classified in "people who feel good when he disturb others"

are this case people, I think.
(I think that I will deal with appropriately such people in a peaceful way,
because I do not like situations of one-sided damages.)
I think that these people are always tempted by an evil spirit.
(I think this condition is their normal condition.)
So they claim that they were only tempted by an evil spirit
and by that they demand to be forgave on a surface
and will survive such his disadvantage situations.
And after that they will crime others many times,
and they will repeat this phases again and again
by saying "I was tempted by an evil spirit this time, too."
I think this case people can not clean up their bad acts forever.
